Ports of call
Now as a board game

The legendary computer game Ports of Call is now becoming a board game
It was in 1986 that you could sit with your friends and play Ports of Call on your Amiga for the first time. And dream of having the largest shipping company in the world. 40 years have now passed, and in this connection I have been allowed to publish Ports of Call as a board game by Rolf Diter Klein.
As this is my first board game to be put into production, I have chosen to partner with gameinventors so that I can draw on their expertise to create a fantastic board game. We are doing a Kickstarter to get the game out. If you would like to help, you are most welcome to click in and sign up. Thanks in advance for your help

What is the game about?

Entrance
Ports of Call I is a trading game. for 2 to 4 players where the goal is to become the largest container shipping company on the stock exchange. The way to become the largest container shipping company is to lay the optimal sailing route when executing your order card, and to be strategic when producing containers for the world market. You have to be ready to adapt. when bad news comes about the world market.

World market
The players have an influence on how much it costs to buy and sell containers on the world market. The more containers there are on the world market, the cheaper it is to buy a container, but on the other hand you don't get as much when you have to sell your container. On the world market there is also trading between players. Whoever has produced containers for the world market must have money when your opponent buys them. To keep track of who has produced the containers, they are marked with a round marker in the player's color in the containers
